DESCRIPTION:Don’t miss this exciting performance of jazz/world music by the Dinuk Wijeratne Trio on Sunday\, October 6. The Trio includes Dinuk Wijeratne on piano\, Nick Halley on drums\, and Tom Easley on bass. Dinuk Wijeratne is an award-winning Sri Lankan-born Canadian pianist\, composer\, and conductor. His boundary-crossing work has taken him to international venues as poles apart as the Berlin Philharmonie and the North Sea Jazz Festival. Based in Halifax\, Nova Scotia\, Nick Halley is a drummer/percussionist\, keyboardist\, composer\, and conductor. Tom Easley is a two-time East Coast Music Award Winner and one of Eastern Canada’s finest jazz bassists. \nConcert begins at 3:00 pm on October 6th at  Muriel Richardson Auditorium\, Winnipeg Art Gallery-Quamajuq\, Winnipeg.
